Leading Australian law firm Macpherson Kelley has completed its migration to the cloud version of 3E, the market-leading financial and practice management solution from Elite.
Established more than a century ago, Macpherson Kelley has built a reputation as one of Australia’s top full-service commercial law firms. Providing “law fit for business,” it is known for its firm-wide focus on the client experience. With offices in Brisbane, Dandenong, Melbourne, and Sydney, its 250-strong team includes 140 lawyers across 20 different legal areas. The firm is also affiliated with Multilaw and the Pacific Legal Network, two major international legal networks.
A 3E on-prem customer since 2010, Macpherson Kelley completed its transition to the cloud version of 3E in just eight months, making it the first firm in the Asia-Pacific region to complete an on-prem to cloud transition with 3E. The migration to 3E in the cloud also marks the final step in the firm’s wider cloud-first strategy, a journey which it began in 2019.
Powered by the Microsoft® Azure® platform, 3E is the first cloud-native software as a service (SaaS) financial and practice management solution for law firms, enabling them to streamline and automate tasks, drive operational efficiency, and get the strategic visibility needed to make timely, accurate business decisions. By making the move to 3E in the cloud, Macpherson Kelley now has increased flexibility, robust capabilities, and faster access to upgrades and new functionality, all while keeping most of their existing 3E customizations.
Going forward, Macpherson Kelley can rely on a fully managed service provided by Elite which offers nearly unlimited scale, 24/7 monitoring, and security that is unmatched in the industry. The firm can now also provide secure and near real-time access to their 3E data to designated third-party solutions which support other integrations, unlocking the power of their own cloud-based data.
