Event to spotlight generative AI, legal innovation and regional collaboration
Relativity, a global legal technology company, will host its first-ever Relativity Fest Sydney on Tuesday, 8 April, bringing together leading legal minds from across the APAC region. The event reflects Relativity’s ongoing investment in APAC and will feature expert-led sessions, generative AI experiences, and opportunities to explore the future of legal data intelligence.
“As the legal industry evolves, now is the perfect time for the APAC community to connect in a bigger and better way,” said Phil Saunders, CEO of Relativity. “Relativity Fest Sydney is a chance to show our commitment to transforming the legal sector through AI and human expertise.”
Driving Innovation with Secure Generative AI
With growing interest in generative AI across the region, Relativity is delivering secure, responsible solutions to meet both innovation needs and compliance expectations. According to Generative AI in Legal 2024, an IDC InfoBrief commissioned by Relativity, APAC professionals are particularly focused on data privacy and governance.
Relativity’s aiR suite is designed to address these needs, offering fast, accurate, and cost-efficient solutions for legal document review and case strategy. Law firm Gilbert + Tobin is among the early adopters of aiR for Review, combining AI-powered efficiency with secure hosting in Microsoft Azure.
“One of the key benefits is knowing our data is securely housed in a trusted environment,” said Adrian Agius, Associate Director at Gilbert + Tobin.
A professional services firm using aiR reported saving 110 human-days of manual work and cutting review time by nearly 80%.
Supporting Regional Transformation
Relativity continues to evolve its platform to support APAC customers. Over the past year, RelativityOne processing speeds have doubled, with plans to double again this quarter. Enhancements include improved PDF workflows and expanded cloud functionality.
Cloud adoption in the region is accelerating. Gartner reports that 79% of CIOs expect to increase investment in cloud platforms in 2024. Reflecting this, 80% of Australia’s top 10 law firms now use RelativityOne, with half making the switch in the past year.
Global law firm Ashurst adopted RelativityOne for its scalability and automation capabilities. “We’ve seen real efficiency gains in review and data handling,” said Hilary Goodier, Partner and Global Head of Ashurst Advance.
