eBillingHub and Datacert, the premier global provider of enterprise legal management solutions, announced today that they have entered into a partnership to improve the e-billing experience for their joint law firm clients. Together, they will develop a tighter integration between eBillingHub’s Web-based legal e-billing system and Datacert’s Passport Collaboration Portal, giving law firms increased e-billing efficiency and shortened payment cycles.
Both eBillingHub and Datacert recognize that the legal e-billing market has evolved to include numerous vendors. Law firms, which often struggle with the challenge of managing electronic bill submissions across this range of vendors, are looking for the most efficient and cost-effective way to meet these demands. eBillingHub is used by law firms to streamline the process of billing to the multiple legal e-billing providers used by their various corporate clients. Datacert’s e-billing technology is used by thousands of law firms around the world to submit electronic invoices to Datacert’s corporate clients. Strengthening the integration between these systems will allow for increased automation, further minimizing the time it takes the companies’ joint law firm clients to submit invoices, including initial validations, resulting in quicker invoice delivery and helping accelerate time to payment.
“Our partnership with Datacert underscores eBillingHub's strategy of working with a wide spectrum of legal spend management providers to improve the e-billing experience and value for law firms and their clients,” said Carlos Seoane, general manager of eBillingHub. “These partnerships continue to reinforce eBillingHub as a universal one-stop shop for law firms that are engaged in e-billing.”
Passport, which is Datacert’s patent-pending technology platform for corporate legal departments, includes a standard API (application-programming interface), which eBillingHub will utilize to build the integration between the systems. The Passport Collaboration Portal, Datacert’s next-generation invoice submission portal for law firms, is replacing ShareDoc which firms are transitioning from based upon corporate client demand.
“Datacert has long been recognized as providing the industry’s leading law firm support services and this partnership is further proof of this ongoing commitment,” stated Don Schad, Datacert’s SVP, customer and law firm operations. “When our law firm clients submit invoices to Datacert through eBillingHub, we want to ensure that their experience is the best in the industry.”
