Workshare, a leading provider of secure enterprise collaboration applications, today announced the appointment of Alex Wood as Vice President of Sales EMEA. Alex will be responsible for building out Workshare’s EMEA sales team and executing an international sales strategy as well as continuing to build Workshare’s market share across Fortune 1,000 companies.
Alex brings 15 years of sales experience to the role, with a history of building global sales teams and orchestrating strategic client wins within the finance and legal sectors. His most recent position was Director of Sales Programs, Governance, Risk & Compliance for Thomson Reuters where his responsibilities included establishing a global sales team. Prior to this, Alex was based in Thomson Reuters' New York office where he ran the Banking & Securities vertical for the Americas. This included overseeing the integration of his previous company, Complinet, following its acquisition by Thomson Reuters in 2010.
Wood commented, “Workshare has been entrusted to protect sensitive documents in semi and highly regulated sectors for over a decade. With the continued adoption of BYOD strategies and the impact of consumerization of IT across all sectors, the opportunity to offer organizations a tried and tested way of protecting documents outside of the corporate network is, frankly, huge – that's what attracted me to the company.”
Anthony Foy, CEO Workshare commented, “Alex brings with him a deep understanding of how to put successful international sales teams together and a proven track record of delivering strategic client wins. We are delighted to have Alex on board as we continue to expand our loyal customer base and cement Workshare’s market-leading position.”
