Midlands law firm Thomas Guise has chosen SOS Connect as its legal software partner to help support its growth strategy. The firm is based in Worcester, with another office in Studley in Warwickshire, and also recently opened an office in central Birmingham. The firm delivers a full range of legal services, as well as having a specialism in the care homes sector.
We had embarked on a modernisation process and came to realise that our hardware and software needed upgrading, says director Wayne Thomas.
Then when our previous supplier was bought out we decided the time was right for a change. We hired a leading sector consultant to take a good look at the market for us and to help us to choose a new supplier, and he came back to us to recommend SOS Connect, from Solicitors Own Software.
The firm will be using SOS Connect for integrated practice management, case management and customer relationship management. It will also be addressing compliance requirements with the system and extracting management information with the reporting and KPI tools.
Our aim is to develop our case management capability to enable our fee earners to process work in a more streamlined way and eventually to move away from using paper altogether, so integration with Outlook was a key requirement, says Wayne Thomas.
In terms of the bigger picture, we want to grow as a firm and are looking to SOS Connect to assist in terms of data management and exploitation, cross referrals and networking. Setting up KPIs is also important so we can monitor the performance of the business.
David McNamara, managing director of SOS, said: Thomas Guise undertook a considerable amount of market research before opting for SOS Connect. We look forward to working alongside the firm as it continues on its growth path.
