NetDocuments, a leading EU-based document and email management service provider, announced that Farrer & Co LLP has selected NetDocuments as its new document management system (DMS). In mid-2013, Farrer & Co embarked on a search to find a supplier to provide a single repository for electronic client files. Farrer & Co closely evaluated six potential solutions before selecting NetDocuments.
According to Neil Davison, “NetDocuments stood out in a several key areas, including client collaboration capabilities, mobility, and improved product usability.” Davison continues, “The project board determined that NetDocuments' intuitive browser-based system provides a significantly improved user interface and representation of a matter file compared to the traditional Document Management systems."
As a natively web-based solution, NetDocuments will significantly enhance Farrer & Co's mobility and remote-working capabilities. “With today's mobile and flexible working requirements, easy access to the complete matter file anytime, anywhere, and on any device is crucial” said Davison.
Farrer & Co performed extensive due diligence on NetDocuments and determined that the level of security and confidentiality offered by NetDocuments was higher than they could achieve on their own. The NetDocuments service is hosted in two ISO 27001 certified UK-based data centres, all data is encrypted both at rest and in transit, and Farrer & Co will at all times have an onsite backup of all its data.
