Legal industry veteran Chris Chapman brings expertise to XDD’s growing Chicago office
Xact Data Discovery (XDD), a leading international provider of discovery and data management services for law firms, corporations and government agencies, announces the addition of attorney Chris Chapman to the company’s e-discovery consulting team, serving as its new Relativity workflow manager.
Chapman joined XDD in July, just a month after the company’s acquisition of In Demand Document Services, LLC (IDDS), a full-service litigation support company serving the Chicago market.
Now an attorney with over 15 years of complex commercial litigation experience, Chapman began his career as a trial lawyer working on multimillion-dollar products liability and toxic tort matters. He moved on to conduct and manage document reviews and analysis projects for numerous National Law Journal (NLJ) Top 350 law firms. Most recently, he worked primarily with large law firm clients to help manage the document review process from end to end. Chapman received his J.D. from Baylor Law School.
The addition of Chapman, an experienced e-discovery attorney, allows XDD to offer expanded consulting services to legal teams on document review and the overall e-discovery process. This includes the support of initial document review even when the firm is undertaking that effort directly, as Chapman is skilled at developing workflow solutions that improve efficiency throughout the endeavor. As a legal project manager, he oversees XDD’s technology-assisted review and managed services offering.
Xact Data Discovery saw immediate success following its acquisition of IDDS in June. Former In Demand clients are leveraging the full suite of e-discovery services offered by XDD, and local XDD clients may now have projects managed through the company’s newly acquired office in downtown Chicago.
