Support for All Web Browsers and Mobile Devices
@Legal Discovery, LLC, a full service eDiscovery technology provider, announces the latest release of their CasePoint unified eDiscovery software. The new version of CasePoint was developed using HTML5, which makes all the features of the platform operable on all web browsers and nearly every mobile device.
In addition, the company released a native iPad app that allows CasePoint documents to be available both online and offline through an easy-to-use touch interface.
Because @Legal developers used HTML5 to create the new version, the application is highly secure, has a consistent look and feel across all devices, is independent of software plug-ins and offers complete native document review. CasePoint will operate on browsers like Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera, Safari, and on devices like Macs, PCs, Android phones/tablets and devices running iOS. The platform supports more than 400 different file types.
With the dedicated iPad app, attorneys will have offline access to documents relevant to a current matter. For instance, when an attorney attends a deposition, they can bring pertinent documents on their iPad and be able to access them, whether they have Internet access or not. The app is available for free in Apple’s App Store.
“To accommodate the evolving needs of attorneys and legal professionals, we set out to make the new version of CasePoint browser agnostic. While solving this problem, we also were able to make the platform functional on most mobile devices,” said Haresh Bhungalia, CEO of @Legal Discovery. “With all the features and functionality of CasePoint now available on any device, legal professionals can be more productive whether they are in the office, working from home, or out of town for a deposition.”
The latest version of CasePoint is included in @Legal’s all-inclusive, predictable pricing model. CasePoint is a unified eDiscovery platform that spans the entire Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). The private and secure cloud-based Software-as-a-Service allows legal professionals to manage large amounts of data from ingestion through production. It includes features for early case assessment, TIFF conversion, filtering, OCR, technology-assisted review, productions, and reporting.
