With Per Document TOA Pricing and Internet Hyperlink Capability
Levit & James, Inc. announced today that Best Authority® 5.0, the latest version of their award-winning Table of Authorities (TOA) software, will include major enhancements including pay-as-you-go per-document pricing and an internet hyperlinking capability – including free linking to content at Fastcase®. Version 5.0 will enter beta testing at customer sites in early 2018.
Best Authority dominates the market for TOA software, with over 950 customers including 88 of the Am Law 100 firms.
Ian Levit, Vice President for Marketing and Sales said, “There are two major enhancements in Best Authority Version 5.0. The first is a new licensing option where customers can pay for creating TOAs on a per-document basis. This Pay-as-You-Go option has zero upfront costs.”
Mr. Levit continued, “The second will provide hyperlinking for TOA entries, and for all citations in a brief. If the user has already coded hyperlinks using tools from LexisNexis or Westlaw, those can be incorporated in the TOA. If not, then through our alliance with Fastcase®, Best Authority can automatically insert hyperlinks to the Fastcase database, such that any reader of the document may follow those links, with no payment or login required.”
In closing, Mr. Levit said, “We have also added simplified license activation and new TOA editing features, many of which were suggested by customers.”
