Morae Global Continues Growth with new senior Appointments

Morae Global Corporation, the premier supplier of full-service, technology-enabled, integrated solutions to corporate legal departments, law firms and compliance functions, today announced Marcia Goldenberg and Ryan Murphy have been named Managing Directors and Shawn Christen has been named a Senior Director.

Primarily focusing on managed services for contract life cycle management and legal operations, Marcia Goldenberg brings with her more than 25 years of experience in legal outsourcing in operations management, strategic account management and business development. She has assisted clients with the development of managed services models for enterprise contract management systems, GDPR compliance reviews, as well as on-site/off-site multi-language managed KYC and sanctions engagements. Goldenberg’s experience includes development, implementation and strategic account management of managed services for multiple corporate clients.

Ryan Murphy has more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive in law firms, corporate legal departments, eDiscovery providers and consulting firms, most recently as Director of Global Legal Business Operations at LyondellBasell. He has worked with some of the largest law firms in the world on financial and human resources system selection, design, implementation, training and change management. Murphy has real-world experience in the successful and practical application of processes and technology in challenging corporate legal environments. He also has significant experience designing and negotiating multiyear master service agreements and alternative fee arrangements with outside counsel to increase efficiencies, integrate policies and processes and standardize consistency of services. Murphy is a subject matter expert in the practical application and real-world use of matter management, electronic billing, document management, legal holds, eDiscovery, global records management, outside counsel guideline development and enforcement, law firm rate negotiation and project management.

With more than 30 years of consulting and professional services experience in the legal, financial services, health care, pharmaceutical and technology industries ranging from entrepreneurial startups to Fortune 100 clients domestically, Shawn Christen has worked on-site for extended periods of time internationally in Munich, Tokyo, Bermuda and India. His experience has ranged from serving as a strategic advisor, business operations manager, subject matter expert and implementer of technology, day-to-day operations and case management to serving as an expert providing declarations and affidavits when requested by counsel. Christen has developed and enhanced numerous in-house and outsourced discovery programs by bringing together the necessary resources, processes, workflows and technologies enabling clients to enhance defensibility, increase efficiencies, reduce costs significantly and mitigate risk.

The new hires come on the heels of last month’s acquisition of professional services information management specialist Phoenix Business Solutions. That deal strengthened Morae Global’s strategic direction and capabilities around artificial intelligence and cloud-based technology in order to help its clients better collaborate through the use of technology, data and information management.
