Reynen Court LLC today announced the release of version 2.0 of its ground-breaking platform designed to make it fast, easy and secure for law firms and in-house legal departments to discover, test, adopt and manage Artificial Intelligence, Smart Contracts and other new technologies.
Reynen Court was founded in 2018 with wide support from a consortium of nineteen leading global law firms. The Amsterdam-based start-up launched a first commercial version of its platform in February 2020, six months after introducing a limited-scope Beta version during ILTACON 2019.
The Reynen Court platform enables law firms and legal departments to run cloud-based applications either on premises or within virtual private clouds under their own control -- thus giving firms access to modern software solutions without having to sacrifice security or stability. The platform also takes time and costs out of traditional technology procurement and deployment processes by providing a content rich solution store together with tools and automation for testing and purchasing applications and utilities that drive interoperability between and among other applications as well as with a firm's primary systems and infrastructure. The platform also enables firms to comprehensively gather and analyze cost and usage metrics to aid in better predictability of IT software and infrastructure maintenance and expenditure.
The version 2.0 release brings to market important improvements that ensure the platform can consistently meet the very high standards for security and resiliency required by large law firms as well as enhancements that enable seamless integration with the overall operational and administrative eco-systems typically in place at large organizations, including regimes governing single-sign-on and disaster recovery. In addition, version 2.0 delivers a variety of new features including:
The version 2.0 release also includes important enhancements that will significantly improve the cycle time and throughput of Reynen Court's vendor application pipeline including full automation of major parts of the various tests Reynen Court runs on each and every version of software made available through the platform (e.g., syntax checks on Helm charts, image vulnerability scans, runtime tests for deployment readiness, smoke tests for application functionality as well as security certification by an external party.)
“We have had a unique opportunity to design and build a complex legal technology platform with direct guidance from nineteen of the largest law firms in the world,” commented Reynen Court founder and CEO Andrew D. Klein. "In the initial push to our V1 release, this collaboration rightly focused on the novel automation and functionality required to manage multi-cloud infrastructure, deploy containerized applications and monitor active usage through a single controller. In the next stage, the collaboration centered around what was needed to ensure that our platform seamlessly co-exists with the primary standards and existing eco-systems typically maintained by major firms. Thanks to the extraordinary support of so many leading firms, we are now highly confident our platform is ready to support production deployments at scale."
"In the terms of baseball," Klein continued, "with this version 2.0 release we are rounding first base with a full head of steam. Influential law firms and major in-house legal departments are adopting our platform. Of the 200-plus application vendors engaged with us, nearly 100 are now under contract. Our growing team of engineers and product managers are hard at work on one-click purchase automation, comprehensive subscription management, advanced telemetry and an exciting data hub designed to further drive interoperability."
