Mr. Fleischmann joins the executive team with more than 30 years of experience, including private law practice as a labor and employment law attorney and executive leadership positions as a general counsel and chief human resources officer for higher education institutions. As a corporate attorney, he was instrumental in starting two legal departments and implementing best practices to manage and deliver legal, compliance, and enterprise risk management services.
“Our most important asset at Lexicon is our people,” said Scott Brennan, Lexicon CEO. “We are thrilled to welcome Ken to our leadership team and utilize his experience as a leader, professional, and attorney to grow a quality and rewarding employee experience.”

He was responsible for managing human resources, legal, compliance, and risk management services. Mr. Fleischmann also led the establishment of a comprehensive enterprise risk management and compliance program, ethics training, the development of unit staffing models, and human capital metrics reports.
As Vice President of Human Resources at Saint Louis University in Missouri (1989-2013), Mr. Fleischmann directed strategic initiatives resulting in decreased turnover, increased employee engagement and satisfaction, improved recruitment, performance evaluation processes, training, and a multi-million dollar overhaul of compensation and benefits programs.
Mr. Fleischmann received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of Akron and his Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University.
He is a member of the Pujols Family Foundation Advisory Board and provides pro bono legal services to the organization. This national not-for-profit agency seeks to serve impoverished communities in the Dominican Republic.
