BRYTER, the no-code service automation platform that enables anyone to build enterprise service applications, has appointed Christian Werling as its new EMEA Vice President of Sales. Based in Dusseldorf, he joins BRYTER’s team at a time of rapid development for the company and his experience and extensive network will help drive growth for the business in the EMEA region.
Christian joins BRYTER with over 20 years of experience in analytics, big data and fintech and over 15 years of experience leading sales success in hypergrowth companies across different European regions including Scandinavia, DACH and BENELUX. He brings to BRYTER a strong drive to further expand its success into other regions across EMEA and to develop an industry-leading sales team with a driven and people-focused culture.
Christian joins from his role as Regional Director at MongoDB, the scalable document database platform. Prior to MongoDB, he spent over two years at ThoughtSpot, where he successfully built teams across Europe and scaled revenue and employee numbers by rates of 150 to 250% per year. This growth was driven by sales methodologies introduced by Christian such as Challenger Sales and MEDDPIC, and over 40% of the people in his teams saw career progression during his time working with them. Before joining ThoughtSpot, Christian has almost 15 years of experience, including roles at QLIK, BlueYonder and Treasury Intelligence Solutions.
This appointment further enhances BRYTER’s sales team, as momentum continues to build in the business following the recently announced $66m Series B funding round, led by Tiger Global. As the sales team continues to drive this growth, BRYTER plans to expand its sales team to almost 100 people by the end of the year. Christian’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Eugene Shim, who joined BRYTER as VP of Sales North America in April.
Christian Werling, EMEA VP of Sales at BRYTER said: “When I first saw the BRYTER product, I couldn't believe how easy it makes it for literally anybody with business matter expertise to build automation apps on their own. The impact we can have on so many different industries across all business functions blows my mind. One of the things that made up my mind to join BRYTER was talking to a team from Germany, at the heart of Europe, that is combining a very strong focus on people with the ambitions and professionalism in sales that you would normally only see in Silicon Valley.”
Micha Bues, Co-founder and CCO of BRYTER said: “We are delighted to have Christian joining us. His track record of scaling companies and revenues is proven, while his passion for developing his teams and individuals fits perfectly with BRYTER’s culture. He has extensive experience with hypergrowth companies throughout Europe and we believe he has the perfect profile to support our growth in the EMEA markets.”
