After a two-year hiatus, the 2022 Momentum conference attracted nearly 600 attendees to Austin, Texas, with clients traveling from as far as Australia to participate in the week’s events.
After shifting the conference to an online-only experience in 2020 and 2021, this year, Aderant offered attendees a choice – attend virtually for access to live-streamed and on-demand content, or make the trip to Austin for over 100 in-person sessions geared at training existing customers to further enable use of their current solutions, discussing best practices in client-led panels, and educating firms on where Aderant can address other current and emerging gaps within their firms.
In the opening session, Chris Cartrett, Aderant’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), highlighted that 2021 was a year of tremendous growth for Aderant. He noted a “seismic shift” when it came to law firms adopting cloud technology, with many clients now migrating to Expert Sierra, Aderant’s cloud-based legal practice management solution. Cartrett underscored that Aderant added a significant new addition to its product portfolio by acquiring American LegalNet (ALN) which will offer clients the undisputed leading cloud-based docketing solution on the market. The new product is scheduled to be released later this year and will leverage the best of CompuLaw and eDockets in a single SaaS solution.
Leaning into the recent shift to cloud based solutions, Cartrett indicated the company is continuing to make major investments in Expert Sierra and BillBlast, which he noted has quickly become the fastest growing legal tech application on the market today. Aderant is also focused on further automating law firm processes by way of its own product development and through formal partnerships, including the recently announced integrations with LawPay and ZERO.
Going beyond the product suite, Cartrett also spoke to Aderant’s renewed focus on the customer experience. In the general session, Cartrett declared “It starts with the A!”; explaining that the “A” is more than just a logo. It represents a company-wide obligation to provide incredible customer service and a focus on the daily experience of all of its customers.
Raphael Shure, Aderant’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), announced this year’s Client Achievement Award winners on the Momentum mainstage. These firms are selected and recognized for outstanding achievement in one of four categories:
While in Austin, the Aderant team revealed the global 2023 Momentum conference will be held in Denver, Colorado on May 8-11, 2023. The event is intended to be offered as a hybrid experience with both in-person and virtual session options.
“It was incredible to get clients and partners back together at Momentum,” commented Cartrett. “The past two years have been challenging, but we want our clients to know that when they are part of the ‘A’ they have the ongoing support of our entire team. We wake up every day ready to usher them through the various hurdles firms face, whether that be a broken billing process, limited access to data, timekeeper management or firm-client transparency. Momentum Austin provided so many opportunities to reconnect and reevaluate what success means to our clients. The event is truly a representation of our ‘It starts with the A’ mentality, which puts customers at the center of everything we do.”
On the heels of a successful return to in-person global Momentum, Aderant hosted its regional Momentum Europe event in London on the 22nd & 23rd of June. The outstanding attendance numbers at both events proves the appetite for live events continues to grow and Aderant is primed for the opportunity to bring valuable content and insights to customers globally.
