Improved Automatic Redaction, Multimedia Search and Near-Duplicate Detection
ZyLAB, leading provider of eDiscovery and information risk management solutions, today announced the launch of ZyLAB eDiscovery Bundle 3.4. The new eDiscovery Bundle improves the reviewers performance and accuracy by adding review capabilities for multimedia and automating time-consuming tasks such as redaction and handling near-duplicates.
ZyLAB’s eDiscovery Bundle is a complete solution to support the collection, processing, review, analysis and production of large volumes of versatile information in such a way that all valuable information can be searched, browsed and reviewed instantly in an intuitive and easy to use user interface. ZyLAB’s latest release, eDiscovery Bundle 3.4 includes new enhancements to make this eDiscovery process more thorough and efficient.
The new eDiscovery Bundle 3.4 has improved the multimedia search functionality by enhancing the ability to search and review audio and video files for speech within the main reviewer interface. The improved audio search functionality is fully integrated in the processing and review process. Audio or video files that are discovered during collection will be processed into searchable files. Reviewers can then search for words or phrases without having to transcribe or listen to each file for early case assessment as easily as they can with Microsoft Office files. The hits of their search are marked in the audio to navigate quickly to the important parts.
In addition to the manual redaction option and redaction at the processing level, reviewers can now create a list of queries to automatically redact all hits matching these queries in a subset of other documents. The redactions are based on ZyLAB’s own advanced search technology, giving the reviewers maximum flexibility to redact what is needed. Redaction codes are configurable, and standard sets are available for FOIA, HIPAA, FOIP and other Exemption schemes.
In addition to configurable exact duplicate detection and handling, ZyLAB offers advanced and intuitive near-duplicate detection. Reviewers can locate near-duplicates and view instantly the near-duplicate documents with a score for similarity, and tag these as needed. Recently the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted ZyLAB a patent for its exact and near de-duplication technology in its eDiscovery solutions and Information Risk Management platforms.
The improved functionality for automated redaction and finding near duplicates also contributes to a more cost efficient and easy review process.
ZyLAB’s eDiscovery Bundle 3.4 also offers improved scalability. For version 3.4 improvements were made to the collection and processing of data to accomplish a more effective distribution of tasks over multiple resources including the available number of cores and machines.
