HP Autonomy and Litera, a leader in Content Risk Management, today announced an extension of their partnership to enable HP WorkSite users to access, govern, clean and compare content in their on-premise or cloud hosted files.
Litera’s comparison and server-based metadata cleaning solutions are now integrated with HP LinkSite, a file sharing and synchronization service from HP Autonomy that is built on HP’s cloud.
HP LinkSite integrations can be seen at this year's LegalTech 2014 conference in New York.
HP LinkSite is a hybrid cloud solution that integrates HP WorkSite, an on-premises document and email management system with HP’s public cloud file sharing and collaboration service. LinkSite enables a single file, or an entire project folder, to be securely shared in the cloud with internal and external collaborators -- directly from the HP WorkSite matter file. This integration, across both cloud and on-premise software, of the industry’s leading document and email management platform with leading risk management software enables law firms to more confidently embrace the cloud as a secure platform for collaboration and information access.
HP Autonomy ECM is a comprehensive set of applications for managing the business content lifecycle. Spanning capture, document management, collaboration, business process management, enterprise search, records management and web content management, HP Autonomy ECM enables organizations to manage information across disparate systems and file formats. With HP Autonomy ECM, businesses can extract greater business value from information, reduce operating costs and enhance Information Governance. HP Autonomy ECM products are used by 10,000 organizations worldwide including over 80% of the AmLaw 100.
“Bridging the gap between on-prem and cloud content management requires solving both the content sharing problem and the challenge of governing the information and metadata across the two. This development will enhance the productivity of our users and reduce content risk around cloud and mobile document processes,” said Dan Carmel, Head of ECM Strategy and Solutions, HP Autonomy.
“We are delighted to bring Litera’s exciting new callable content services capabilities to LinkSite,” said Toby Bell, Executive Vice President of Litera. “Together with HP Autonomy, Litera is helping to provide mobile workers with integrated solutions that deliver the content confidence they need when sharing documents between on-prem and cloud-hosted repositories – and with outside collaborators.”
Litera’s Patented Change-Pro allows professionals to compare MS WORD, Excel and PowerPoint documents to eliminate risks associated with undetected changes in legal, financial, and other business transactions. The server technology enables comparisons without the need for a client application. This is particularly useful for mobile review and approval via tablets and smartphones.
Litera’s Patented Metadact product cleans metadata from all Office, PDF, image and zip files (including items sent from smartphones & tablet devices like iPads). The server-based solution includes mechanisms for central policy management and to analyze and clean documents before they are sent via email or uploaded to the cloud – or at any time afterward.
