New training-as-a-service focused on legal training strategies and expansive, yet flexible training service delivery
Encoretech, a premiere learning & development organization delivering technology training and migration solutions to the legal and corporate communities, today introduced the Encoretech Training-as-a-Service (TaaS) offering.
As part of the new solution, Encoretech will work with law firms on ways to strategically redesign their legal technology training programs including new hire training and onboarding; online and distance learning; staff skill & proficiency development; learning management system (LMS) customizations; training content development; and utilization of new, innovative training delivery methods.
Legal professionals are increasingly faced with the daunting task of mastering new technologies at break-neck speeds without the appropriate learning systems and training resources to help them along the way. Encoretech’s TaaS is a managed training service offering focused on blending training strategy and a ‘best practice’ approach to law firm training design with a variety of proven delivery methods including online and distance learning, lawyer skills development and classroom training.
“Despite years of investment and effort, most law firms have failed to significantly move the needle when it comes to teaching people how to use technology,” stated Jeffrey Roach, President and Partner, Encoretech. “When we partner with a firm during a software migration we always take a strategic, results-focused approach to the project. Firms often struggle to keep the momentum going after specific training projects end. The reality is that when it comes to improving work habits it takes a sustained and substantial effort to make a long term difference. We are excited to offer Encoretech TaaS and play a more lasting role in firms’ overall training program.”
Encoretech Training-as-a-Service includes the following core components:
“We are about 12 months into working with a select group of visionary law firms and other professional service organizations on re-designing user training programs and learning systems following the TaaS methodology. By starting with a strategic, audit-style review of existing training methodologies and first assessing the overall efficacy of internal technology training, firms have a major leg up when looking to deliver a more rewarding and productive training experience,” added Thomas Devine, Encoretech’s Chief Operating Officer.
According to Bill Koch, Director of Technology Services, Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP, the Encoretech TaaS solution offers the firm unlimited training flexibility and expertise, from custom application training and eLearning content to new hire on-boarding to training strategy. “Their outsourced training and distance learning solution turns traditional on-site training on its head and signifies a paradigm shift in how the modern firm can deliver consistent, actionable training and tutorials to time-strapped professionals. Encoretech has a strategy-first approach to technology training and with their expertise and well developed training design plan, we were able to transition from a typical decentralized classroom training model to a fully managed centralized distance learning program at a fraction of the time it would take most firms.”
In order to meet demand for its TaaS offering and establish a central location for legal training subject matter expertise, Encoretech expanded its full time staff and opened an office in Atlanta in 2013. Atlanta is the hub for all content development & delivery, consulting services and training-as-a service engagements.
