Litera today announced the inclusion of three more of its software solutions in the recent Gartner research reports, "Does File Analysis Have a Role in Your Data Management Strategy" and "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing." The reports outline the common use cases and selection criteria for file analysis tools to help business and IT leaders manage unstructured data as well as criteria for the best solutions to share this data, both inside and outside the company firewall.
"File analysis tools can address a broad and diverse set of use cases that enterprises should consider to maximize their investments," the Gartner report explains. "Organizations struggle with the appropriate access rights to information and the protection of personally identifiable information."
"We are delighted to see Galaxy receiving significant recognition early in the life of the solution," saidPaul Domnick, Litera's President. "The ability of Galaxy to help organizations structure their data around individual projects, collaborate on that data with fully managed approvals and workflow status, while retaining full data custody and an audit trail of all changes, is what makes Litera a vanguard in the industry."
Gartner notes that Litera has just recently entered the EFSS space and explains in their Magic Quadrant report that "File sharing can be within the organization, as well as externally (e.g., with partners and customers) or on a mobile device as data sharing among apps. Security and collaboration support are critical capabilities of EFSS to address enterprise priorities." Gartner specifically concentrated on solutions that focus on mobility, security, administration and management, back-end server integration, content manipulation, collaboration, simplicity and usability and storage.
"It's always nice to see the principles we used in conception of products like Litera SYNC (secure, enterprise-grade file sharing) and Litera Secure File Transfer (encrypted large file transfer) as the benchmarks for solutions in this space," said Karen Massand, Litera board member. "We hope to raise the bar further with our industry leading comparison, metadata cleaning and PDF conversion capabilities embedded into the EFSS offering, available on-premise, in the cloud, on the DMS and anywhere else our clients desire."
