Speaker Identification Capable of Significantly Reducing Review Time for Audio Projects
Nexidia, a market-leading provider of audio and video search analytics, today announced Speaker Identification for Audio Discovery. The Speaker ID service, part of Nexidia’s Audio Discovery OnDemand solution, utilizes Nexidia’s patented, phonetic technology to successfully identify recordings containing one or more specific speakers.
Proven in regulatory investigations, Nexidia’s Speaker ID can literally whittle down thousands of hours of recorded conversations, allowing reviewers to focus on recordings that contain just those speakers. Speaker ID uses specific examples of the target speakers to create a model of their speech characteristics. This model is then applied within Nexidia’s speech processing applications to identify and flag all recordings that are most likely to contain those speakers. The system can even identify exactly where in a recording each speaker is found, which can further streamline the review process and allow greater efficiency in final review.

Increasingly, financial services and energy companies are finding the volumes of audio content are too cumbersome and expensive to review with either manual listening or transcription. Those organizations are directing their outside law firms to seek solutions to reduce both the volume of responsive recordings and the costs associated with those volumes.
