Traveling Coaches, the legal industry experts at gaining user adoption of technology, today announced a partnership with Casey Flaherty, creator of the Suffolk/Flaherty Legal Technology Audit (LTA). The LTA, which assesses how well timekeepers and staff use basic law practice technology, received considerable attention when introduced last year by in-house counsel Casey Flaherty.
With the assistance of Andrew Perlman of Suffolk University Law School and an advisory board, version 2.0 of the assessment will be released in September.
“The LTA is here, finally,” states Flaherty. “We’ve been working on an updated, automated version for a very long time. I’m interested, and a bit nervous, to see the adoption rate. With a partner like Traveling Coaches, however, I get the sense that we may make the leap from novelty to ubiquity in very short order.”
Version 2.0 of the LTA assesses core, labor-saving features of common software by requiring test takers to perform a series of discrete tasks that routinely arise in the practice of law. Traveling Coaches will provide consulting and educational services as well as content to help firms prepare for the audit and develop communications strategies to engage lawyers and leverage the results in their business development.
“The timing could not be better,” states Gina Buser, Chief Executive Officer of Traveling Coaches. “Our new GoCoach TechWise learning content is designed to help lawyers work smarter, not harder. This new lawyer learning program paired with our award winning communications and change management services are must haves for firms that are committed to furthering the skills of lawyers and positioning them to provide improved client service.”
GoCoach is designed for mobile devices so lawyers can improve their skills and prepare for the Legal Technology Audit anytime and from anywhere. A future version of the LTA will also include security awareness questions based on Traveling Coaches’ award-winning OnGuard security awareness program.
