Workshare integrates with Microsoft Office 365 to enable secure collaboration
Global News

Workshare logoWorkshare today announced its integration with Microsoft Office 365, providing Microsoft users with a full set of collaboration functionality to increase productivity. The integration of Workshare’s desktop and cloud collaboration tool, Professional 9, will enable firms to meet the increasing demand for cloud-based applications in the legal sector.

With 96% of legal professionals requiring access to content on the move, there is a growing need for legal firms and corporate counsels to implement desktop as well as mobile and cloud-first tools.

By providing Office 365 users with collaboration features, the integration enables users to be more mobile and productive, while allowing them to work with the way they are accustomed to. The integration will enable faster turnaround on documents, enriching the usability of Office 365 by allowing users to access, compare, and collaborate securely from any device.

Chris White, CIO at Clyde & Co, commented, “Workshare’s integration with Office 365 is a major milestone for legal firms who need to consolidate the applications and systems they use, while meeting the needs of legal professionals who need to be more productive both in the office and outside. As a global law firm, maintaining the productivity of our fee earners while they’re mobile is a key challenge. It’s reassuring that Workshare is supporting Microsoft’s new direction, as the integrated solutions offer a clear path to maintaining productivity as users demand more flexible ways of working.”

“Workshare has a long history of supporting Microsoft’s Office suite and now our application is Office 365 ready,” commented Anthony Foy, CEO at Workshare. “A high percentage of Microsoft’s enterprise customers are already using Office 365 and require secure collaboration capabilities. In providing secure comparison and metadata removal functionality, our joint offering will be hugely beneficial in helping these companies transition to the cloud as efficiently and effectively as possible.”

Nishan DeSilva, senior director within Microsoft’s legal and corporate affairs department commented, "Workshare has been a long-time Microsoft partner – building a range of applications that integrate with the Office suite. We are excited about Workshare’s integration with Office 365, which addresses the rising demand for cloud-based applications in the legal sector."

Workshare will be providing demos of the new integration at the ILTA Conference in Nashville Tennessee, from August 17-21 on booth #406/408. For more details, click here.
