Breadth of product offering, strength of email management and security model drive over 80% client growth
HP Autonomy today announced that its cloud-based HP WorkSite service has achieved significant customer momentum, with over 80 percent growth in the number of legal and professional services firms using this service over the past 12 months.
This news follows several product & architectural enhancements designed to give customers deeper functionality for secure collaboration and file sharing in the cloud.
A key component of HP's overall "New Style of IT" strategy, the cloud delivers significant benefits to organizations that want to transform how they manage and govern their information for improved cash flow, enhanced agility, and greater productivity. HP WorkSite Cloud, a market-leading document and email management service, is a key piece of that strategy. Delivered as a private cloud service, it allows organizations to manage documents and email digitally in a unified folder structure, enhancing employees' view of information across traditional silos. WorkSite enables integrated management and collaboration from any access point, including desktops, laptops and mobile devices. In addition to WorkSite, other HP ECM products available as a private cloud service include WorkSite Records Manager for physical and electronic records management, HP Process Automation, HP Teleform for capture and digitizing paper content and HP Universal Search for pan enterprise search. Each of these products is the same full featured capabilities of the on-premise version but fully integrated to each other and available as a private cloud service.
The offering is especially appealing to organizations managing highly sensitive content - such as global law firms, corporate law departments, accounting firms, financial services firms and regulated enterprises - that need to securely share information and collaborate with internal and external parties. New HP WorkSite Cloud customers include: Clark Wilson LLP, Colgate-Palmolive, Crafts Law Firm, Edwards LifeSciences, Energizer, Frederickson Capital Management Group, Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel LLP, Looper Ballew, and Workman Publishing.
Fredrikson & Byron, a 600 user firm with a reputation for bringing business acumen and entrepreneurial thinking to the practice of law, went live on WorkSite Cloud in July 2014. An existing WorkSite customer, the firm chose to move to WorkSite cloud. "Our decision to move to the cloud was based on several factors including: reducing our total operating cost, regaining valuable staff time to focus on more strategic projects, and the ability to enhance our business continuity capabilities", said Joe Fousek, CIO at Fredrikson & Byron. "WorkSite in the cloud was chosen for its proven adoption by users in legal and in our firm, the robust email management capabilities, and the capabilities beyond just document management that HP offers in the cloud such as enterprise search and records management."
"The market adoption or WorkSite Cloud is clear validation of our focus on delivering the benefits of cloud computing in a manner that is consistent with the security and data protection needs of our user community, who manage some of the most sensitive client data in business today." said Neil Araujo, General Manager, Enterprise Content Management of HP Autonomy. "Over the past year we have evolved our architecture to provide customers with the gold standard in legal document management as a hosted service backed by HP's world class security and support."
To sustain its momentum in cloud-based Enterprise Content Management, HP continues to invest in its core HP WorkSite product and related modules. Today, HP announced additional enhancements to HP LinkSite, a cloud-based secure file sharing and collaboration service that enables WorkSite users to easily and securely send and share documents and folders with clients.
New capabilities in HP LinkSite enable users to more easily share, control and track document exchanges. These include:
Using these new capabilities, employees and business partners can share, control and track documents through both internal and external collaboration in a secure and compliant environment fully integrated with WorkSite. Built on HP WorkSite, this hybrid cloud solution offers more secure, scalable and auditable capabilities than consumer grade, public cloud-based file sharing services.
"Clark Wilson LLP has spent years trying to improve the method of supplying documents to our clients. We have looked at many deal rooms and other data sharing products, but were not able to find anything that would cover all our needs at a reasonable cost," said Don Kerr, director of Information Technology at Clark Wilson LLP. "HP LinkSite offers our clients a well-organized location for ongoing matters. It allows for proven, easy access to the complete matter for clients of any size and has significantly improved how we collaborate with them, which ultimately makes it easier for clients to do business with us."
