The Winscribe Board of Directors today announced the promotion of Greg Allen to Chief Executive Officer effective from 1st September 2014. Allen previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer for Winscribe.
“During this time of growth, there is no better person to lead Winscribe than Greg Allen,” said Matthew Weavers, Winscribe’s Founder and Chairman of the Board. “Allen is a proven leader with a wealth of commercial, IT and management experience gained in New Zealand, Europe and the United States. His vision for how technology will shape paperless business around the world is exactly what Winscribe needs as the company enters its next chapter of expanded product innovation and growth.”
Since joining the company in 2004, Allen has spearheaded major strategy and technical shifts across the company’s portfolio of products and services, most notably the company’s move to its paperless product Winscribe Text.
“Winscribe is one of those rare companies to have transformed traditional work practices through their innovation in dictation, speech recognition and paper-free initiatives, and I relish the opportunity to lead the company,” Allen said. “A big part of my job is to accelerate our ability to bring new and exciting products and services to our customers quickly.” The Board is also pleased to announce that Matthew Weavers will transition from his operational role as the current CEO for Winscribe to focus on business strategy in his role as Chairman of the Board.
