Venio Systems Releases “Defensibility: The Dirty Little Secrets of eDiscovery”
Global News

Venio logoVenio Systems, the leading provider of integrated e-discovery software for corporations, law firms and service providers, today announced the publication of its free White Paper, “Defensibility: The Dirty Little Secrets of eDiscovery.”

The paper was written by Babs Deacon, Venio’s Vice President of Training & Education, and discusses why the processing phase of eDiscovery is such a high-risk activity. Included are five “dirty little secrets” of eDiscovery and strategies for minimizing the risks caused by each. “Much of the risk is caused by obsolete technology and too much human participation,” says Deacon. “New tools and improved processes can reduce the amount of human interaction, or ‘babysitting’ required, which will in turn reduce both risk and cost.”

The dirty secrets exposed in the white paper are:

  • Processing Extraction Level Limits
  • Multiple Processing Applications
  • Technology Selection
  • Human Participation
  • Keyword Searching

“Minimizing risk throughout the discovery process, including in the processing phase, is a responsibility that cannot be shirked,” said Arestotle Thapa, CEO at Venio Systems. “We are happy to publish Babs’ paper, which illustrates how to use technology to automate best practices to reduce those threats.”
