DocSolid, a leader in enterprise document scanning solutions for the legal market, announces several more of the industry’s most notable firms have begun projects to transition from paper to a fully electronic matter file.

Prestigious firms, including Simpson Thatcher, Marshall Dennehey, Morgan Lewis and others have recently begun initiatives with DocSolid, heralding an industry call to action to reduce the cost and risk of paper records, while driving efficiencies and integrity into the matter management process.

DocSolid’s KwikTag® Legal, an integrated scanning platform which embeds capture within law firms’ existing document management software, manages paper from the first point of entry, through a scanning and profiling process, with built-in quality control checks to enable confident shredding. DocSolid’s Scanbition Consulting designs a firm-specific approach to a Paper2Digital transformation, inclusive of business objectives and milestones, pilots, policies and workflow. The firm’s culture and priorities are accommodated, as are the preferences of attorneys who still like to work with paper, and those who don’t.

“As reported frequently in The Legal Administrator Daily, law firms continue to see significant pricing pressure and client demands for increased transparency and efficiency. It is vital that law firms find ways to reduce costs and meet these client demands. Implementing paperless (or less paper) processes is an essential step in this direction,” comments editor of PInHawk’s Legal Administrator Daily, Bill Lipner.

Stinson Leonard Street and Lindquist & Vennum are two other successful law firm customers of DocSolid that have recently been featured in case studies by the industry press.

Suzette Allaire, COO at Lindquist & Vennum, says: “Our firm and the legal industry is constantly changing; there are mergers, new practice groups, new office openings, etc., and when you have a process that isn’t fluid, it’s not going to work. Being fully electronic gives us the ability to be responsive while removing many weighty inefficiencies and gaining the soft benefits of major productivity increases. We take these as significant, long term benefits and advantages above and beyond the cost savings.”

Steve Irons, president of DocSolid said, “We’re now working with the vanguard of advanced law firms seeking to achieve a fully digital matter file, and drive the burdens paper records from their operations. This is an industry imperative, and what’s been missing is a way forward. Our technology plays a key role, but the consultation and expertise is just as vital. That’s what DocSolid provides.”
