ZyLAB, a leading provider of eDiscovery and information governance technology, today announced that it is proud to receive the highest product score in the use case of “Complete EDRM (Electronic Discovery Reference Model) E-Discovery”; one of three uses cases in Gartner’s Inc. “Critical Capabilities for E-Discovery Software” report.
The report that was published on October 6 2015, provides an independent evaluation of 20 eligible eDiscovery software vendors to help IT leaders and legal counsel select suitable tools for their eDiscovery needs.
In the report Gartner identifies six critical capabilities and three use cases to provide a detailed ranking of software products from 20 selected eDiscovery vendors. The identified use cases highlight an organization's top eDiscovery needs and span both legal and investigative eDiscovery matters. These investigative eDiscovery matters span from regulatory investigations, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to internal disputes.
In the use case of “Complete EDRM eDiscovery”, ZyLAB receives the highest product scores. “We believe receiving the highest product score, is fueling our mission to continuously enhance our integrated end-to-end solution addressing all stages of the EDRM.” said Johannes Scholtes, Chief Strategy Officer for ZyLAB. “We have done well in keeping pace with cloud-based deployment with an emphasis on self-service and are differentiating ourselves through support for multiple languages and capabilities like file analysis for records classification and email archiving.”
Critical capabilities are the primary software features that the evaluated products should have to support one or more of the use cases mentioned above. Gartner identifies the following six critical capabilities to rank the respective product strengths:
The other two use cases are Data Collection, Preservation and ECA (early case assessment) and Legal Review. For inclusion in this Critical Capabilities document uses the same criteria as the "Magic Quadrant for E-Discovery Software."
