An advanced and secure file sharing solution for professionals
Are your lawyers using file sharing systems that your firm does not approve of? Are they using these because their clients want them to? Nikec Solutions introduces Nikec Docstore as a medium to securely share documents and files with clients and colleagues.
Nikec Docstore is an advanced file storing and sharing application designed for professionals. It sets standards in terms of security and file integrity and can be hosted either as a secured Cloud or On Premise solution.
Ideal for mobile professionals: Nikec Docstore provides the ability to store any type of file and access them remotely on a standard computer or an iPad. There is no need to carry paper anymore as documents remain available at any time through standard Internet connection. It is also possible to securely download documents for offline review and mark-up. User-friendly and efficient, it quickly becomes essential to professionals visiting clients or travelling.
True support for collaborative work: a user can invite another person, a colleague or a client, to access a single document or folder. Any participant can then create notes and open discussions relating to these documents or shared folders. Notifications are sent after each modification or update, improving workflow, reactivity and project progress.
Security and file integrity: this is also what makes the Nikec Docstore difference. “Docstore was initially designed for the legal market” explains Damian Jeal, Global Business Development Director. “That is a market that we know well (We have provided solutions like Copitrak to this sector for over 15 years) Because of the sensitive nature of the content lawyers share, we knew that existing applications could not be fully used on this market. As a consequence, we have put a significant amount of effort in setting up a fully secured environment. Allowing law firms to be in control of the solution is also key, from setting up the user workflow rules, to being able to remotely block or wipe the iPad application.”.
Typically, the selection of the datacentre followed strict criteria, starting with the location of the datacentre (in United Kingdom), the tier level and compliance with ISO 27001 (which formally specifies management rules to control information security) as well as multi-layer encryption capabilities and backup services.
On premise solution: “We also know that law firms have little to learn about security issues and are in THE best position to make decision about it. Also many of them have already the required infrastructure setup. That is why Nikec Docstore is also available for on premise installation”, says Damian.
There are many file sharing tools on the market, however when it comes to professional utilisation, and sensitive content, only a handful of solutions actually match Nikec Docstore’s standards and flexibility.
