NetDocuments, the leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) content management service provider, announced today that Fenwick Elliott LLP, the UK's largest construction & energy law firm, has implemented NetDocuments as its new document management system (DMS).
In seeking to upgrade its current document management system, Fenwick Elliott quickly determined that cloud-based NetDocuments would be easier, faster and less costly than the traditional on-premise options. “NetDocuments simply removes much of the cost and complexity from traditional DMS - both for IT and end users,” said Nick Day, IT Director. “The production and disaster recovery systems for the application, search, index and documents/emails store are all provided by NetDocuments in its secure UK-based data centres.”
The NetDocuments web-based solution will also significantly enhance Fenwick Elliott's mobility and remote-working capabilities. “As a leading construction and energy law firm, our users travel extensively and having easy access to our documents anytime, anywhere, and on any device is crucial” said Neil Elliot, Partner.
Fenwick Elliott performed extensive due diligence on NetDocuments and determined that the level of security and confidentiality offered by NetDocuments was higher than that which could be achieved by most firms on their own. The NetDocuments service is hosted in two ISO 27001 certified UK-based data centres, and Fenwick Elliott will have an onsite backup of all their data.
Fenwick Elliott's switch to NetDocuments, in addition to their virtual desktop implementation, is being managed by the firm's IT partner, Perpetual IT Consultants Ltd.
