Managed services provider InTechnology has appointed Gary Thomas to the role of client account manager for legal. The appointment comes as the hosted voice and data specialist reaffirms its commitment to a sector that is seeing impressive growth in Cloud service adoption.
Gary, who has over 20 years' IT experience within law firms, joins the company from Irwin Mitchell where he was head of IT operations. Here he had both partner status and overall management of Irwin Mitchell's IT and telecoms infrastructure.
Commenting on his new role, Gary said: “I'm excited about being part of an innovative company which is at the forefront of technology, and really understands the IT and telecoms needs of firms operating within the legal sector. I already have experience of working with InTechnology in previous roles, so have a strong understanding of its culture and unique approach.”
“As part of my business development role, I'll be working closely with law firms to offer them strategic advice on how they can establish a next-generation IT infrastructure. A new approach to IT and telecoms could enable firms to transform their business and significantly reduce costs. It's a challenge I can't wait to get my teeth into.”
Mark Halpin, InTechnology's new business head, added: “Law firms are increasingly recognising the importance of Cloud services and their potential not just for significant cost reduction but also for increased operational agility and competitive advantage. Having someone with Gary's experience and track record in this sector is therefore pivotal, as it greatly expands the levels of IT expertise and knowledge we're able to offer legal clients operating within the industry.”
