Leading Trademark and Patent Attorneys Boult Wade Tennant Signs 12 Month Contract with Phoenix Business Solutions

Phoenix Business Solutions, the premier provider of Knowledge Management and Enterprise Content Management software and consultancy, today announced that Patent and Trademark attorneys firm Boult Wade Tennant has signed a new 12 month services and support contract to centralise and optimise its document management processes and achieve a paper-light document management environment.

Phoenix has supported Boult since the end of 2010, and provided the firm with its HP Worksite document and email management solution, which enables matter-centric working processes through integration with its Inprotech practice management software. In addition, Phoenix provides Boult with IT system integration, training, and support services to maximise technology adoption amongst its users and ensure that the firm optimises the benefits of this technology investment. The new contract will see Phoenix implement its MatterView collaboration software, which will enable Boult to more effectively manage all client matters by providing a flexible format for delivering live information from multiple, disparate systems within the familiar Outlook interface.

Tessa Bucks, Partner responsible for Information Services, Boult, comments: “We chose to renew and expand our contract with Phoenix following a thorough review in 2013 of other providers in the market. Not only did this review confirm that Phoenix is amongst the leading providers of the HP Worksite solution and has a wealth of experience integrating Worksite with Inprotech, but their additional services and the products they have developed around Worksite bring huge potential to transform the way in which we manage all our matters.” 

With four offices and 160 personnel, Boult’s ultimate objective is to become as paper-light as possible. Ms Bucks explains: “Before we implemented WorkSite, we had about four different areas where documents and email were being stored. What WorkSite has given us is the ability to save all content in one place, which has greatly enhanced efficiency as everyone knows where the single repository is for all relevant information. This is particularly important as, nowadays, clients are increasingly expecting a very fast turnaround time. Without Phoenix’s software, we would have to spend unnecessary time checking basic details. 

“Moving forward, as we implement MatterView, this efficiency will be further enhanced as teams distributed across different departments will be better able to collaborate and share all matter information.”

The investment is a recognition of the growing importance of technology in underpinning fundamental business processes and supporting the delivery of key services to Boult’s clients.
