Matrix42, a top provider of software for workspace management, today announced that Harper Macleod, the legal adviser to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, has selected Matrix42's Corporate Workspace Management solution. The project will see the deployment of a new Service Desk alongside Physical Workspace Management, ITSM and Compliance solutions.
The integration and automation of these elements will enable Harper Macleod to reduce IT workloads and deliver a better service to end users.
Harper Macleod LLP is one of Scotland's leading law firms and was chosen as the official legal advisor for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. As an innovative business, best practice and accountability are deeply embedded within the firm, and this extends to the provision of efficient IT services. Harper Macleod initially had a requirement to replace its Service Desk, but also recognized that it needed a more modern and robust approach to IT Service Management that would be capable of growing with the firm. In the past, it had used multiple ITSM systems from different vendors, which no longer met the firm's service delivery and IT management requirements.
The law firm carried out a detailed market evaluation and chose Matrix42 Corporate Workspace Management as their preferred solution. Richard Harvey, IT Director, Harper Macleod explained, "We were impressed by Matrix42's integrated software suite and its ability to deliver an ITIL Service Desk alongside best-of-breed ITSM solutions that are capable of meeting our current and future requirements. It also offers us the ability to progressively roll out additional areas of functionality as and when needed. Not only that, we were impressed with the speed of implementation, thanks in part to the cloud-based deployment capability that also makes it a very cost-effective option."
Matrix42 Corporate Workspace Management will enable easier and more flexible management of the company's corporate workspaces, alongside enhanced ITSM and compliance fulfillment. Matrix42 cloud-based solutions for software packaging, 3rd party patch management and remote control will ensure software distributions and updates can be efficiently managed. A subsequent project phase will see the company implement Mobile Workspace Management to enable better BYOD/CYOD.
Stuart Power, Sales Manager UK, Matrix42 said, "By using our state-of-the-art workspace management technology, companies such as Harper Macleod are able to improve how vital IT processes are managed, reduce the costs associated with IT management, and dramatically accelerate the delivery of services to end users. I am very proud to introduce another customer to our ever growing list of UK & worldwide organizations."
The deal was secured with support from Matrix42 partner Softcat, one of the UK's leading IT resellers. Rob Adlem, Channel Manager UK, Matrix42 commented, "This is an excellent example of combining the strengths of Matrix42's workspace management suite with Softcat's proven expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction. I look forward to continued success in our joint initiatives."
Richard Harvey concluded, "We were also aware of Matrix42's performance in key analyst research reports such as those from Gartner, in which it has been named as a Visionary Vendor. Our evaluation proved that this reputation is well deserved, and is reflected in the design and engineering precision on which its suite of workspace management solutions is built."
