Time capture specialist Rekoop is making further inroads into the top 200 with the signing of Stephens Scown. The leading South West firm, with offices in Exeter, St Austell and Truro, has rolled out Rekoop to 120 fee earners, integrating with Elite Envision.
The deployment will comprise Desktop, the primary time recording interface; Digital Footprint, which monitors activity in the background and helps construct timesheets automatically; Mobile for Windows mobile devices; and telephony integration with Shoretel.
Stephens Scown has a reputation for its progressive approach to IT and a specialist time recording system is another example of its forward-thinking strategy.
Managing partner Robert Camp explains: “If time is the currency of law firms, then we need to ensure that a) it’s not falling through the cracks and b) it can be easily analysed and factored into decision-making. So that means we need to tighten up on the recording of all time, both chargeable and non-chargeable, and have visibility of complete data sets. We recognise that this in turn puts a huge onus on the individual to do their bit, which is why we’ve opted for a specialist solution that gives us a real step-change in usability and functionality. The style and sophistication of Rekoop’s offering clearly points to a developer focused solely on time, and to helping law firms make capital out of their core currency.”
Phil Wedgwood, Rekoop’s CEO, comments: “The past 18 months have seen growing momentum in both the top and mid tiers for the swapping out of PMS-based time recording systems in favour of a specialist solution, as firms recognise the merits of a dedicated design and development approach. We’re delighted to be up and running with Stephens Scown, further consolidating our market leader position.”
