LexisNexis UK, a leading provider of content and technology solutions, today announced that it has been named Supplier of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2015. The awards recognise excellence, success and advances within the legal world and are judged by a panel of independent experts from the profession, including former senior partners, in-house counsel, journalists and academics.
LexisNexis was recognised for its work with RPC, a full service law firm employing 400 lawyers across London, Bristol and overseas, in its implementation of Lexis®Draft following a successful pilot. This implementation further enables RPC to continue delivering an excellent client experience, critical to their business growth and their reputation as a leading, award winning firm.
RPC were one of the first firms to recognise the potential of Lexis®Draft, as Oliver Bray, Partner and Head of Commercial at RPC explains: “The day-to-day support we give our clients is critical. We are constantly looking at ways of improving our commercial offering to clients. We want to embrace emerging online technology and tools, so that we can remain as efficient as possible and maintain our levels of client satisfaction.”
Since installation at RPC, Lexis®Draft has facilitated a significant increase in the quality of both internal and incoming external documents, as well as providing peace of mind. Oliver comments: “There has been a massive time saving. Fee earners can focus on the key commercial issues rather than scanning for minor anomalies. It’s speeding up the work of our lawyers.” He also points out the consequent benefits said quality improvement has in terms of client satisfaction, in that this saving can then be passed on to their clients: “In the long term I believe Lexis®Draft will deliver substantial savings for clients through increased efficiency.”
Christian Fleck, Managing Director of LexisNexis UK, says “We could not be more thrilled to be presented with the Supplier of the Year Award at the British Legal Awards 2015. This prestigious award has recognised our advances in the legal market, particularly when it comes to identifying our customers’ needs and providing them with outstanding solutions, such as Lexis®Draft. As a business we strive to place our customers at the heart of everything we do, and I would like to thank all those involved in this project for their exceptional efforts, and to the Legal Week panel for recognising LexisNexis as Supplier of the Year for the UK legal market once again.”
Since its release in 2013, Lexis®Draft has experienced accelerated uptake within top City law firms – it is the first toolbar to combine LexisNexis content with workflow tools in the Microsoft Word environment. Lexis®Draft checks for problems with definitions, references, numbering, citations; and provides access to integrated LexisNexis content such as precedents and clauses.
