Select Legal Systems Limited, specialist supplier of legal practice management software for law firms, is delighted to announce the expansion of its Hull-based LAWFUSION Direct datacentre, which is part of a 3-year growth plan.

Expanding their cloud computing datacentre for existing and future clients with this six-figure investment sees the installation of advanced technology.  This will include superfast 10 gigabit networking for the datacentre, the addition of a number of additional ultra-high performance servers as well as several extra high redundancy & high performance SAN storage systems, with further investment planned for later in the year.

Cloud Computing for Law FirmsSelect’s flagship product, LAWFUSION, is available for the cloud or as a traditional on-premise installation.  LAWFUSION Direct is the company’s ‘cloud computing’ option for law firms. For a monthly fee, law firms get the full LAWFUSION suite of legal practice management software as well as fully integrated Microsoft Office and Exchange products – all hosted securely on the Select’s cloud at the Hull  ISO27001 datacentre.  Here law firms can rest assured their data is held securely and backed up daily by the Select Legal Systems Hosted Team.  The team also takes care of all software upgrades remotely as part of the LAWFUSION Direct hosted contract.

LAWFUSION ratios between cloud and on-premise show hundreds of users in each camp.  LAWFUSION Direct has enjoyed incredible growth since Select’s first cloud client signed up back in 2008.  At the end of 2009, roughly 12 months after the software house started offering LAWFUSION as a hosted service, 12% of their user base was on the cloud.  Now, in 2016, 56% of all LAWFUSION users are on the cloud and over the last 6 years 72% of all LAWFUSION orders received have been for LAWFUSION Direct.
