Melchert Hubert Sjodin PLLP (MHS) today announced the deployment of Microsoft Office 365 and the Epona Matter Center to help organize it's growing Documents and Email Management System (DMS).
The firm, founded in 1927 by Judge Arlo Haering, is currently one of the oldest and largest firms in the Southwest Twin Cities Metro area. The decision to implement Microsoft Office 365 and utilize its capabilities while maintaining an existing SharePoint DMS.
J. Michael Melchert, Partner, MHS, stated: "After developing our own SharePoint document management solution, we needed more flexibility to satisfy our clients, our staff and our attorneys. We contacted several different vendors to review their approach to improve our environment without a total "rip and replace". Epona demonstrated how with their tools, they could deliver a solution that allowed us to maintain much of what we had created. Epona made it easy for our users to capture documents and emails, conduct searches of unstructured data, and did so by using the familiar Microsoft Office interface. Epona promised and then delivered exactly what we needed."
Keith Vallely, Vice-President of Epona USA, added his opinion. "MHS had developed a powerful home-grown DMS environment on SharePoint on-line. The challenge we faced was how to reconfigure an existing in-production DMS while providing a more modern experience for future firm matters."
