Aurora North, a leader in delivering IP solutions and Intapp products for law firms, announced the availability of an improved Document Center PracticeLink feature set, enabling practitioners to assign and review documents and their related tasks in a single view.
The new features are part of PracticeLink version 1.4, a robust IP practice management solution for managing the IP prosecution process. PracticeLink was introduced to law firms in 2016 after ten years of research and development with leading edge firms.
The PracticeLink Document Center is the newest feature set providing smart context: histories, notes, and related matter and client information. It allows users to quickly view tasks that have been assigned and completed for single or bundled documents permitting practitioners to assign and track work product related to specific matter documents. A single view which converges matter, client, open tasks, and historical information enables rapid review of the history and related information that are essential to ‘one touch or one lookup’ actions within IP prosecution.
“The Document Center essentially allows documents to re-connect the notes, assignments, and history of the entire matter prosecution context in an otherwise disconnected digital environment,” said Sheehan Lake, CTO of Aurora North. “The Document Center allows documents to be digitally viewed in context of the larger matter file to quickly get to the required actions.”
In addition to Document Center, PracticeLink recently introduced OCR capabilities to enable robust coding by working with the text within the documents to route them more quickly and intelligently. Later this year, Aurora will release Insight, its comprehensive analytics product, to provide dashboard monitoring capabilities for more intelligent business management – all fully integrated within PracticeLink.
PracticeLink enables IP boutiques and high-powered IP practices to provide superior patent and trademark prosecution through increased efficiencies, reduced risk, and superior client service. PracticeLink ties together best-of-breed technologies – from docketing to document management to financials – to display and manage patent and trademark application information from a single dashboard.
