The Thought Leader of the Year is a business partner award, part of the International Legal Technology Association’s annual Distinguished Peer Awards that allow association members to recognize their peers as champions in the legal community.
The program includes business partner awards to recognize superior achievements in innovation by ILTA sponsors and consultants. The Thought Leader of the Year is awarded to an individual deemed to maximize the value of technology in support of the legal profession and provide quality educational opportunities for ILTA members and ongoing learning to help navigate through change.
Arup was nominated for his expertise and his commitment to sharing his knowledge and insights about critical technologies and trends impacting the legal market including artificial intelligence, data science and analytics, blockchain, development operations, automation and innovation. In addition to writing and speaking on these and other topics, Arup conducts educational “boot camps” to educate lawyers and firm leaders about these subjects and their practical applications for law firms.
A panel of judges reviewed all qualified applicants for the Thought Leader of the Year award before narrowing them down to a short list of just three finalists. Judges will conduct interviews with each of the short-list nominees to determine the final winner. The winner of this award and others will be announced at the ILTA Awards Dinner during ILTACON 2018 on Tuesday, August 21.
