Alphaserve Technologies, a global leader of digital technologies including AI, machine learning, application development and security, as well as IT advisory, managed services and infrastructure solutions for law firms and other professional services organizations, is proud to announce company CEO Arup Das has been selected as the recipient of the International Legal Technology Association’s 2018 Thought Leader of the Year award.
Part of ILTA’s annual Distinguished Peer Awards, the Thought Leader of the Year is a business partner award given to an individual who maximizes the value of technology in support of the legal profession and provides quality educational opportunities for ILTA members. A panel of judges reviewed all qualified applicants for the award before conducting interviews with a short list of finalists in June.
Das was selected as the award recipient for his expertise and commitment to sharing his knowledge and insights about critical technologies and trends impacting the legal market, including artificial intelligence, data science and analytics, blockchain, development operations, automation and innovation. In addition to writing and speaking on these topics, Das conducts educational “boot camps” to share his knowledge with lawyers and firm leaders about these subjects as well as their practical applications for law firms and legal departments.
“Alphaserve is on the cutting edge of innovation and technologies that are changing how law firms operate. Among the reasons I joined the company earlier this year is Arup’s exceptional leadership and his passion for sharing his knowledge with clients and the entire legal market,” said legal technology veteran and former Blank Rome CIO Larry Liss, who currently serves as Alphaserve’s managing director/legal industry advisor. “Arup’s willingness to share his expertise for the betterment of the legal community is unmatched. Nobody is more deserving of ILTA’s Thought Leader of the Year award.”
“I am both honored and humbled that I have been selected as the recipient of ILTA’s Peer Award for Thought Leader of the Year. While my mission has always been to democratize knowledge for the benefit of others, it is rewarding to receive recognition for the continuous efforts I, as well as my team, have put into place to integrate the evolution of technology into the legal community,” says Arup Das. The Distinguished Peer Awards will be presented at the ILTA Awards Dinner during ILTACON 2018 on Tuesday, August 21.
In addition to receiving a Distinguished Peer Award, Das will be featured on a panel titled “The Reality of Artificial Intelligence in your Legal Practice,” which is part three of a four-part AI series being presented at the educational conference. The session will take place on Wednesday, August 22, at 1:30 p.m.
ILTACON attendees can visit with representatives from Alphaserve Technologies in the exhibit hall at booth 104 to learn about the company’s managed IT offerings, as well as its modern, practical and tailored solutions that promote smarter resource allocation to increase firm profitability through innovation, AI and business process improvement.
