Wilson Legal Solutions, a leading provider of software and services that help professional services organizations improve business performance, today announced that Patrice Kennard has joined the company as a senior risk consultant.
Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Kennard joins Wilson’s assessment and advisory services team to help law firms and law departments optimize new business intake processes and reduce conflicts of interest.
Kennard has more than 15 years’ legal industry experience and is a subject matter expert on process, workflow, and intake software projects from planning to deployment. In her role at Wilson, she recommends best-practice enterprise conflicts solutions, training and change management approaches, and organizational structure enhancements. She specializes in process and workflow design and Intapp Open, Intapp Conflicts, and Intapp Walls implementations.
Most recently, Kennard served as director of new business/conflicts at WilmerHale, a 12-office international law firm, where she oversaw conflicts analysis and clearance of client and firm administrative work. She also led a team of legal research professionals who focused on conflicts analysis and resolution and risk management services across five areas of law including intellectual property, securities, transactions, litigation, and regulatory.
Kennard’s background includes spearheading the redesign of a post-merger law firm business intake workflow including identification of business requirements, vendor selection, process and policy documentation, quality assurance, pilot development, training, implementation, and rollout. In addition, she served as a new business intake and risk management expert on numerous upgrades, enhancements, conversions, and testing of software including LegalKEY, Elite Enterprise, and Intapp Walls, and Intapp Intake.
“Patrice brings with her a tremendous amount of in-house experience implementing and enhancing risk and practice management solutions. Her understanding of best practices and industry standards will help firms enforce compliant business processes for the client/matter/people lifecycle including intake, conflicts, records, case management, and onboarding,” says Russ Haskin, Wilson’s director of business of law consulting. “In addition, her overall law firm administration acumen is invaluable and will be a welcome asset to our business of law and risk practices.”
Kennard holds a Master of Social Work degree from The Catholic University of America, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from McNeese State University, and a secondary teaching certification with a minor in English from the University of New Orleans.
