Aurora North, the leader in delivering IP prosecution software, services and consulting for law firms, today announced that Seed IP Law Group is now live on TSDRLink to automate downloads of trademark documents from the USPTO on behalf of its clients.
The firm also uses PAIRLink, another application developed by Aurora North, to automate downloads of patent documents from the USPTO Private PAIR web site. Seed IP implemented the two applications as part of a larger initiative to enhance the firm’s operational efficiency and client service.
“Manually downloading patent and trademark documents from the USPTO can be time-consuming for IP law practices and significantly delay response times, hampering their ability to compete effectively in a rapidly changing business environment,” said Chris Kave, CEO, Aurora North Software. “Forward-thinking firms like Seed IP are reducing their reliance on paper documents and using technology to streamline operations, so they can provide clients with more timely updates, improve productivity, and significantly reduce the risk of human error.”
Both PAIRLink and TSDRLink are part of the Aurora North PracticeLink® suite of IP prosecution management software. The applications automate the process of monitoring the USPTO web site for new documents; downloading multiple files; reviewing and profiling the documents; uploading them to the correct client and matter folders in the firm’s document management system (DMS); and sending notifications and reminders to the appropriate attorneys, paralegals and staff, so that they are reviewed in a timely manner.
Seed IP Law Group initially engaged Aurora North for an IP Prosecution Assessment last year. As part of the assessment, Aurora North conducted two days of roundtable discussions with Seed IP partners and team members to review business processes and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, increase profit, and improve the Seed IP client experience.
“Throughout the assessment, we felt confident that the Aurora North team truly understood our challenges as an IP practice,” said Lori Rosencrans, Business Analyst, Seed IP Law Group. “They made pragmatic recommendations we could implement in stages, over time, and the business impact of following their guidance has been tremendous.”
Aurora North consultants are specialists with in-depth expertise in IP practice management.
