NetDocuments Introduces Cloud Enhancements to Kick-off New Year

NetDocuments, the leading secure cloud-based content services platform for law firms, corporate legal teams, and compliance departments, today announced several new platform enhancements to further accelerate performance, productivity and efficiency. These new features will be available in February.

New NetDocuments functionality introduced within the last two months is focused on further enhancing the ndMail predictive email filing technology as well as several usability and administration upgrades.

New NetDocuments productivity and efficiency gains include: 

• ndMail Conversation Filing: This feature, introduced with ndMail 1.7, improves filing efficiency by requiring less user management to maintain a complete project or matter file. NetDocuments’ predictive filing approach solves the same problem as legacy “luggage tagging” (automatic email tracking and filing) with considerable improvements. Conversation filing happens invisibly so end users can rest assured that emails are still appropriately filed.
• Dynamic Profiles: This new functionality simplifies the document filing process by eliminating the presentation of unnecessary profile fields, leading to more consistent, better data that improves search and knowledge management outcomes for customers. This feature takes existing profile attributes and provides decision tree type functionality so only user-relevant information is displayed, a key benefit to firm KM professionals as well as the broader user base.
• Sub-Versions: This functionality allows customers to give their clients confidence and avoid questions when delivering work product. This feature lets users relegate internal "turns" of a document to sub-versions while allowing clients and stakeholders to track clear progress using standard version numbers.

NetDocuments’ best-of-breed cloud technology is continually being optimized. Most recently, the company made considerable performance improvements to its robust and stable platform including faster download speeds and page load times. This translates to time-savings for users while moving quickly from matter to matter while opening documents, or when transitioning content to the background.
