Level 2 Legal Solutions, a leading legal services company, today announced three new additions to its leadership team as the company evolves its team structure to support its distributed workforce model amidst record growth in May measured by client engagements and revenue.
The expanded leadership team includes new hires Karen Wagshul, Senior Director of Client Services and Lisa Barrett, Senior Director of Business Development, as well as newly promoted Director of Legal Compliance Services, Gregory Moreman. These experts were hand-picked to drive quality and scalability in Level 2 Legal’s hybrid business model, combining the talent and nimbleness of remote specialists with the oversight of in-house client and legal services veterans.
Lisa Barrett, who will be leading Level 2 Legal’s business development efforts, has more than 30 years of experience in customer-focused roles for some of the most prominent legal services organizations in the industry, including H5, LexMachina, Thomson Reuters, Thomson West, Elance, Findlaw, and West Publishing. Lisa began her career as a litigation attorney at Paul Hastings, serving as a litigation associate at Jencks and Hunt, and co-founding Advanced Legal Services, where she was general counsel and VP of marketing. Lisa has particular expertise in partnering with customers to deliver value and discover solutions to help them compete better, increase efficiencies, reduce costs and excel. She holds a JD from University of Michigan Law School and an AB in economics from the University of Chicago.
Karen Wagshul brings more than 20 years of experience as a litigator, eDiscovery expert, and general counsel to Level 2 Legal, where she will be leading every aspect of client services. In addition to her exceptional skills in operations, project management, team management and client management, Karen has deep expertise in legal technology as well as a broad range of industries and legal practice areas. Karen began her career as a practicing attorney at Dewey & LeBoeuf; Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP; and Cummings & Lockwood. Most recently, Karen served as counsel at Allstate Insurance Company where she supported clients across a wide range of discovery-related needs, driving efficiencies, cost savings, process optimization, quality improvements and operational excellence. Prior to leading the team at Allstate, she served as a managing consultant at Kroll Discovery, director of client management at Discovia, and legal services project manager at RR Donnelley Global Services. Karen holds a JD from Southwestern University School of Law and an AB in human biology from Stanford University.
Greg Moreman has been a consulting director for Level 2 Legal for more than 11 years, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike with his relentless commitment to creating the most efficient solutions for clients. In his new role as director of legal compliance services, Greg will be drawing on more than a decade of experience developing compliance solutions for a diverse array of clients in multiple industries. As a former prosecutor, Greg knows better than most what goes on in government investigations and prosecutions. And in private practice, he coordinated discovery for numerous cases in a variety of practice areas. In his new role, he’ll bring that track record in both public service and private practice to each and every project he handles. Greg holds a JD from Baylor University School of Law and a BA in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
