Traen AB, developer of the SharePoint based document management product Contentworker, today announced the availability of Contacts functionality in a new release of the product.
Although designed primarily as a document management system, Contentworker’s architecture allows for the addition of other case/matter management functionality. With the latest release of the product users can now add Contacts to a matter such that they can be integrated with the document management functionality. The design goal allows for contacts to either be used simply as a rolodex for associating case/matter related parties or for more advanced functionality such as populating templates or form letters for case related correspondence.
Contentworker has already added other practice management functionality such as calendaring, discussion boards, tasks and extranet capabilities. Contacts help round out the product as a full featured case/matter management solution in addition to its Document Management capabilities.
“From its inception, Contentworker’s architecture allows it to be an ever evolving platform. Our first release was purely document management focused and we have continued to additional legal practice management functionality to the product. Our goal is to bridge the gap that typically separates pure play document management products and case/matter management products by combining both sets of functionality on an extendable SharePoint platform. We pledge to continue to add additional value in the product in many legal practice areas” stated Staffan Hugemark, Director of Traen AB, Sweden.
The Contact functionality is part of the base product at no additional cost. The Contentworker product line is available to North American customers through an authorized reseller channel.
