Traveling Coaches, the legal industry’s experts at gaining user adoption of technology, today announced that Boston-based Nutter McClennen & Fish purchased Traveling Coaches’ CLASS and CLASSe content for the Firm’s on-going technology training program.
“In such a competitive market, it is imperative that we be as efficient for our clients as possible,” said Michael Minchello, Chief Information Officer of Nutter. “If we are able to be smarter in our use of technology and become more adept with a variety of software tools that help us do our jobs more efficiently, we can save money for our clients. The investment we made in assessment tools, eLearning, and a Learning Management System will allow Nutter attorneys and staff to digest smaller snippets of educational content when it is more convenient for them. This will give the individual the control to pick which topic to learn next while doing it when it is most convenient for them. Everyone will have a unique learning plan based on an initial assessment.”
“It was obvious to me that Traveling Coaches is a leader in its market and really understands the needs and demands of law firms,” explained Minchello. “They were able to provide us with solutions that meet all our needs and help give us a competitive advantage.”
Traveling Coaches’ industry-leading CLASS (Continued Learning and Software Skills) program is a collection of modular, legal specific and customizable technology training materials. Since its introduction ten years ago, the popular CLASS program has been implemented by 253 law firms and corporate legal departments consisting of more than 127,000 users. As CLASS provides the materials for traditional classroom instruction, CLASSe facilitates a different style of training: just-in-time eLearning. A collection of short, interactive, online lessons called CLASSe Briefs, this program is ideal for busy lawyers and staff who need to learn how to accomplish specific tasks “on the fly.”
CLASS currently consists of 203 classroom modules and CLASSe includes 2,731 eLearning lessons, both products covering topics from Microsoft Office applications to document management systems and Word productivity tools. The materials are customizable and designed to be used for university-style training programs. CLASSe Briefs are drawn from CLASS curriculum and offer the same high level of quality and consistency. By purchasing both products, Nutter McClennen & Fish will provide learners with a consistent training message through the instructor, reference materials and eLearning lessons.
“We are honored that Nutter McClennen & Fish partnered with us for their ongoing learning program. CLASS and CLASSe will be implemented throughout the Firm to support instructor-led courses and just-in-time learning. This is the first time that we have worked with Nutter McClennen & Fish and we look forward to building a long-term partnership,” added Gina Buser, Chief Executive Officer for Traveling Coaches.
