LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a leading provider of content and technology solutions, and the American Bar Association (ABA), one of the world's largest voluntary professional organizations, today announced an agreement to have ABA eBook titles available through the LexisNexis® Digital Library.
The Digital Library offers lawyers, librarians and other legal professionals a single destination to access, borrow and manage legal eBook titles, regardless of device.
Subscribers to the LexisNexis Digital Library will now have the option to purchase access to and license more than 200 top tier eBook titles published by the ABA, including such popular volumes as Private Equity and Venture Capital Solutions to Common and Uncommon Tax Issues, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Handbook, Grammar and Writing Handbook for Lawyers and many other important texts.
“The agreement also expands the reach of ABA eBooks through the commitment of LexisNexis to promote the collection,” said Kathleen Hopkins, Chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Publication Oversight.
“As law libraries adopt electronic publications, lawyers and librarians want access to a broad selection of titles. We are pleased to offer the valuable collection of ABA eBooks through LexisNexis Digital Library, an addition that builds an industry standard that benefits our mutual customers,” said Susan Slisz, Vice President, Print and Digital Solutions at LexisNexis. “The agreement underscores our strategy of delivering an unprecedented digital library solution.”
“I'm very pleased that ABA eBook titles are now available through a leading legal library technology,” said Robert Rupp, Associate Executive Director, Business Services, American Bar Association. “Digital libraries are always open and accessible. Having greater access to ABA titles helps attorneys across all practice areas become more efficient by enabling them to get the content they need quickly and easily, no matter where they are or what time it is.”
Access to the ABA collection will be available on a subscription basis through LexisNexis Digital Library. Single-user eBook titles for use outside of the LexisNexis Digital Library continue to be available on the ABA's own eBook store.
