@Legal Discovery, LLC, a full service eDiscovery technology provider, announced that the company has met the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) 27001:2005 information security management criteria for legal technology certification.
@Legal and its unified eDiscovery platform, CasePoint, underwent rigorous audits and evaluations to achieve this certification.
ISO 27001:2005 is an internationally recognized information security standard. The standard requires organizations to demonstrate a systematic approach to managing sensitive company information and data security.
The certification process required @Legal to demonstrate that its employees, processes and IT systems adhere to strict standards within the following areas:
“It’s no secret that information security has become very important to businesses and individuals,” said Haresh Bhungalia, @Legal Discovery CEO. “While we’ve always upheld very strict security standards within the company, we felt it was time to demonstrate to our clients and the legal industry, via certification, our commitment to maintaining the security of our clients’ data.”
CasePoint provides a unified platform for all phases of eDiscovery, including collection, analysis, processing, review and production. Every phase of eDiscovery in CasePoint meets the ISO 27001 information security standards. Because data never leaves the system, the risk of data loss is minimized. In addition, @Legal Discovery has met the ISO 9001:2008 criteria for quality management systems and Safe Harbor certifications.
