Transforming the Firm’s Litigation Support Model
DTI, the nation’s largest private independent provider of litigation support, e-discovery, legal process outsourcing and facilities management services, announced today that Blank Rome LLP has signed a multiyear agreement naming DTI as its in-house provider of managed litigation support services.
Blank Rome selected DTI for the substantial efficiencies and impressive capabilities that it provides to effectively support the firm’s nationwide operations. In addition, DTI offers the expertise and scalability the firm needs with a comprehensive suite of services to accommodate any requirement, regardless of size or complexity.
Blank Rome is an AmLaw 100 firm, with nearly 500 attorneys serving clients around the globe. The firm represents businesses and organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. DTI's national footprint of established service centers in major legal markets across the United States provides the firm and their local offices across the country with a quick turnaround for a variety of litigation support projects.
“After conducting a comprehensive review of our electronic discovery capabilities, including technology, project management services and existing processes for handling client materials, the firm’s leadership determined that, in order to remain competitive and continue to provide high-quality and efficient client service, we would transition to a managed services model,” states Patrick Cavanaugh, COO at Blank Rome.
DTI will provide Blank Rome’s lawyers with 24/7 litigation support for a variety of discovery solutions including forensics, data processing, hosting services and managed document review. All Blank Rome offices will have local support from DTI’s nationwide network of service centers, combined with experienced, on-site DTI personnel. In addition, Blank Rome employees will be leveraging DTI’s LitWorks eDiscovery training curriculum, which includes industry best practices.
Cavanaugh continues, “DTI is a world-class organization taking a proactive approach to discovery, and we are very pleased to add them as a partner. In today’s litigation environment, our corporate clients are faced with mounting requirements, and it is our job as their counsel to provide the most strategic and cost-effective services possible. We look forward to leveraging DTI’s extensive experience as we work in partnership to deliver efficient and effective solutions.”
As a part of this outsourcing arrangement, Blank Rome will enjoy the benefit of DTI’s state-of-the-art data centers combined with a highly experienced team of discovery consultants, project managers and technical analysts, all of whom will become familiarized with the firm’s ESI protocols, standards and case team workflow requirements.
