Traveling Coaches, the legal industry experts at gaining user adoption of technology, today announced the availability of its new Imagine Learning Partner Program™, a premier partnership for learning program consulting, design and staffing. The program will be led by new team member, Sr. Learning Consultant Mike Sweeney, who most recently served as technology training manager at WilmerHale, number 17 on the Am Law 100 list of firms.
“Law firms are facing increased pressure to be more efficient and to improve client service,” stated Traveling Coaches CEO Gina Buser. “In this intensely competitive and challenging economic climate, our clients are looking for ways to maximize their investment in human capital. Our depth and breadth of experience with the largest law firms in the world uniquely qualify Traveling Coaches to craft and deliver next generation learning programs that improve talent performance across the firm. The Imagine Learning Partner Program is the conduit for busy training teams to access cutting edge methodology, programming, content, delivery and organizational design.”
Through the Imagine program, Traveling Coaches will partner with law firms to provide comprehensive learning program consultation and managed services that are flexible, scalable and delivered by innovative learning and change management experts. The program draws on Traveling Coaches’ award-winning change management and user adoption methodology to ensure success and offers a variety of service options including:
Imagine partners will gain preferred customer access to Traveling Coaches’ industry-leading learning content programs, including CLASS and CLASSe content, GoCoach lawyer learning content and OnGuard security awareness content.
Traveling Coaches also announced the addition of Mike Sweeney as Sr. Learning Consultant for the Imagine program. In his prior position at WilmerHale, Sweeney launched numerous initiatives focused on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of learning programs for lawyers and staff. Sweeney’s success in his previous position will be celebrated this month at the International Legal Technology Association’s annual Peer Awards dinner, where Mike is one of three finalists for the Technology Advocacy Professional of the Year award.
“I worked with Traveling Coaches on my first project as a client and I was impressed by the quality of the organization,” stated Sweeney. “The consultants and coaches were top notch, their content was engaging and they were on the cutting edge of learning and change management. In fact, I had such a great experience that I couldn’t wait to join their team!”
In his new role at Traveling Coaches, Sweeney will consult with law firms on ways to reinvent their learning programs, including staff development, online and distance learning, learning management systems, content development and effective uses of new delivery techniques that leverage Learning and Development best practices.
“Due to the fast-pace environment of a law firm, trainers are so busy with rolling out new technology and onboarding new hires that they often don’t have the time to study and implement new best practices coming from the field of Learning and Development,” commented Sweeney. “With the Imagine program, Traveling Coaches can bring these best practices to light as well as assist with the time-consuming tasks like new hire and continuing education, freeing internal trainers to align with the business and deliver more value-add services to the firm. We will help firms move from old-school training to innovative learning programs that deliver improved performance for lawyers and staff.”
Sweeney and the rest of the Imagine team will be available to coach firms on ways to effectively improve workflow, quality and customer service; as well as evaluate talent, recommend skills development programs, mentor trainers and their managers, manage departments and assist with talent recruitment.
Prior to his time at WilmerHale, Mike worked for the E&J Gallo Winery in several roles including Training and Technology Integration Manager focusing on organizational change management and learning programs. Mike has a BA from Duke University and is currently pursuing an MA in Organizational Psychology. He holds numerous training certifications including Managing the Learning Function and Change Management from ATD, High Impact Presentations from Dale Carnegie, and Situational Leadership II from the Ken Blanchard Co.
