Opus 2 International, a worldwide litigation services and software development company, today announced that it will be hitting the road with the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) to present a series of educational seminars on mobile evidence management in cities nationwide.
As attorneys become increasingly mobile in a globalized world, litigation is conducted by teams in dispersed locations who must be able to share documents and insights, and engage in meaningful real-time collaboration while navigating diverse court procedures and legal systems. In response, new cloud-based workspaces have emerged to accommodate the way legal teams operate in the international marketplace.
The ILTA Roadshow seminars, titled “Mobile Evidence Management in a Global Legal Market: New Strategies for Attorneys, IT & Practice Support,” will discuss how cloud-based workspaces are transforming the way attorneys manage depositions, transcripts and evidence during litigation and arbitration. The next roadshow stop will be San Francisco on December 9, 2014, hosted by Perkins Coie. Other upcoming stops include Houston (2/10/15), Dallas (2/11/15), Chicago (2/26/15), Washington, DC (6/30/15), Atlanta (7/1/15), Los Angeles (7/29/15), New York City (9/29/15) and Boston (9/30/15). The full schedule is available here. To register for the San Francisco event, click here.
“In today’s complex, global legal market, litigators are seeking new solutions to increase efficiency and create strategic value for their clients,” said Graham Smith-Bernal, founder and CEO at Opus 2. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with ILTA to teach roadshow attendees across the country how to leverage ‘world-wide workspaces’ to make the evidence and argument come alive and to engage in meaningful, effective, time- and cost-saving collaboration.”
The winner of ILTA’s Innovative Solution Provider of the Year Award, Opus 2 Magnum is a private cloud-based service from which litigators, co-counsel and experts review evidence and collaborate on work product for motions practice, depositions practice and witness preparation. Magnum’s advanced, litigation-specific functionality mirrors how attorneys across the globe actually work on hard copy in today’s complex litigation environments.
