QDiscovery LLC, a premier provider of electronic discovery and forensic technology services, today announced that it has entered into an eDiscovery subscription services agreement with Barnes & Thornburg LLP. Ranked number 89 on the AmLaw 100, Barnes & Thornburg has more than 600 legal professionals operating from 12 firm offices nationwide.
Under the terms of the agreement, QDiscovery will assume primary responsibility for Barnes & Thornburg’s litigation support data processing and hosting needs. The arrangement offers Barnes & Thornburg on-demand eDiscovery expertise from the QDiscovery team while also controlling costs and alleviating the burdens placed on the firm’s in-house IT resources from supporting EDD projects.
“From a technical point of view, partnering with QDiscovery made the most sense,” said Tim Shaw, CIO of Barnes & Thornburg. “The arrangement allows the firm to relieve IT of the extensive cost and resource burdens normally associated with handing eDiscovery in-house. Additionally, QDiscovery’s commitment to technical excellence is exhibited through the software and services it offers powered by industry leaders such as EMC and Lateral Data.”
“The size and scope of Barnes & Thornburg’s eDiscovery projects are extensive. QDiscovery gives the firm on-demand expertise and services that can not only effectively and efficiently handle our eDiscovery work but also provide the comprehensive insight and professionalism needed,” said Lane Lowman, Director of Litigation Support for Barnes & Thornburg.
“QDiscovery has worked hand-in-hand with Barnes & Thornburg for more than three years, and this agreement allows us to elevate our collaboration with them,” said Matt McCormack, CEO of QDiscovery. “We look forward to continuing to provide the firm with the quality and established competence they have come to expect from QDiscovery.”
